A classic Valentine’s Day activity: dining out as a couple
How can we overlook this one? While some people find it clichéd to go to a restaurant as a couple for Valentine’s Day, it’s always fun to get dressed up and go out for a romantic meal somewhere together.
If you’re looking for the perfect place to celebrate love with a capital L, Val-David is the place to be. For foodies, we suggest L’Épicurieux. Absolutely stunning and delicious. The food is top notch and the prices are reasonably affordable. Adventurous diners should try the restaurant’s discovery tasting menu.

A romantic weekend getaway
Another classic that keeps coming back year after year around February 14th is getting out of the house as a couple. If you want to escape the routine and rekindle your couple’s romance, there’s nothing better than treating yourself to a weekend in a hotel or booking a cottage.
For a getaway that would make cupid blush, cottages are a much better choice than hotel rooms, mainly because they provide you with a more fulfilling, relaxed and intimate setting.
Take ours, for example. After a trip to the Market, if you want to keep the romance going, get out your skates and head for the skating rinks in Parc Léonias-Dufresne (2525, rue de l’Église, Val-David) and Lac Paquin (1289, montée du 8e Rang, Val-David). The chance to skate doesn’t come along every day. And experiencing these small, simple and out of the ordinary adventures as a couple can break the sometimes monotonous flow of being a couple. It gives you a chance to play together, laugh together and make your hearts beat a little bit faster.
