Parc Régional Val-David et Val-Morin
Just out the door of your chalet, step onto the 30km of well marked hiking trails through the forest of the Val-David and Val-Morin Regional park (formerly known as Parc Dufresne.) There are beautiful lookouts, wild lakes, cascading falls, wildlife viewing opportunities (deer, rabbits, porcupine, birds, etc), and picnic places. Tip: don’t miss the sunsets from “aiguille”, a lookout just a 20 minute walk from Swiss Village (photo above was taken there). The trail map is found here. Access to the trails is included in your chalet rental and dogs are welcome. For more information please visit the park website. (their site is in French, only)
Parc Doncaster
A quick 10 minute drive away in Ste-Adèle is the Parc Doncaster with its 10km of hiking trails set out along the Rivière du Nord. Dogs are welcome. For more information, visit their website here.
